Passaic County, in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), recognize that community participation is an integral part of all stages of a project. A comprehensive Public Involvement Action Plan (PIAP) has been developed and will be updated in each phase of this project. The outreach program developed for the Local Preliminary Engineering (LPE) phase includes local officials, community stakeholders, agency representatives, and the general public in the bridge replacement project process for the Sixth Avenue Bridge.
